Hellblade 2

The Hellblade 2 Is $50 Digital Only And About 8 Hours Long. The ethos of “independent AAA” is back. At today’s Xbox Developer Direct, Ninja Theory revealed a tonne of information about Hellblade 2, including the fact that it will be a reasonably priced, digital-only game with a length comparable to the original.

The developers write on the official Xbox blog, “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be a game crafted from the heart – a game similar in length to the first Hellblade, with a focused narrative, and sold digitally only for USD 49.99.” We can probably anticipate a similar runtime here, as the HowLongToBeat database estimates that the original Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice took between seven and nine hours to complete on a single playthrough.

AAA Games:

In the original game, “we worked with the creative spirit and freedom of independent development. But strove for the types of high-end production values often only associated with AAA Games,”. The developers sought to recreate the “independent AAA” ethos. Additionally, we made use of the flexibility that digital-only distribution provided to us to develop a game that was both perfectly suited to our intended experience and could be sold for less money to reflect the truncated nature of our narrative.”

In 2017, Ninja Theory self-published Hellblade, which was initially available for $30. A while later, the studio and 505 Games collaborated to create a physical version that is still easily accessible today. Hellblade 2 will also only be available digitally at launch. However, I don’t think a physical version will be available anytime soon. Naturally, Xbox Game Pass will also allow you to play Hellblade 2. The game launches on May 21, 2024, regardless of how you want to enter.
